How the Assay Works


The RSV-Q Real Time PCR Kit uses a single-tube multiplex RT-PCR workflow to detect RSV-specific RNA sequences directly from respiratory specimens. The assay employs target-specific primers and fluorescent probes for RSV detection, while a separate Internal Control (IC) is simultaneously detected in the single step to validate assay performance. During amplification, fluorescence signals are monitored in real time, enabling sensitive and specific qualitative detection of RSV RNA. The internal control verifies proper extraction, amplification efficiency, and the absence of PCR inhibitors, reducing the risk of false-negative reporting.
