How the Assay Works


The ViralDtect-II Multiplex Real-Time PCR Kit simultaneously amplify and detect three SARS-CoV-2 genomic targets: the RdRp gene, E gene, and N gene by utilizing multiplex real-time reverse transcription PCR technology.

The assay includes an integrated Internal Control (HEX channel) to monitor the presence of PCR inhibitors within clinical specimens. This internal control significantly reduces the risk of false-negative results caused by sample-related inhibition or technical variability.
