The assay utilizes pathogen-specific primers and fluorescent probes labelled with multiple dyes for simultaneous detection. An exogenous internal control is incorporated to monitor extraction efficiency and PCR performance.

How the Assay Works


  • Sample Collection & Nucleic Acid Extraction: DNA is extracted from urine samples collected using a clean-catch midstream method. Exogenous internal control is added during extraction.
  • Real-Time PCR Amplification: Extracted DNA is amplified using pathogen-specific primers and probes in multiplex reactions.
  • Fluorescent Detection: Amplification signals are detected across fluorescence channels.
  • Result Interpretation: Ct value ≤ 30 is considered positive.
