Sepsis-Q Real Time PCR Kit

Qualitative Detection of Sepsis-Causing Pathogens by Real-Time PCR

The Sepsis-Q Real-Time PCR Kit is designed for the detection of sepsis-related pathogen DNA in human whole blood and positive blood culture samples using multiplex real-time PCR technology. The assay enables simultaneous detection of multiple pathogens associated with bloodstream infections.

At a Glance

Product Overview

The assay utilizes multiplex real-time PCR for the amplification of pathogen-specific DNA sequences. The kit consists of a qRT-PCR Master Mix, and 8 primer-probe mix tubes, each designed to detect specific pathogens using distinct fluorescence channels, enabling simultaneous identification of multiple pathogens along with internal control validation.

Sepsis-Q Comprehensive

How the Assay Works

The assay follows a standardized molecular workflow:

  • Sample Collection & Nucleic Acid Extraction: DNA is extracted from whole blood or positive blood culture.
  • Reaction Setup : Sample DNA is added to reaction mix with pathogen-specific primer-probe sets
  • PCR Amplification: Target DNA sequences are amplified
  • Fluorescent Detection: Amplification signals are detected using multiple fluorescence channels
  • Result Interpretation: Based on pathogen-specific amplification patterns
