Product Overview

The GCP-Q Comprehensive Real-Time PCR Kit is a multiplex molecular assay designed to detect and differentiate 14 major gastrointestinal pathogens from human samples. The assay utilizes pathogen-specific primers and fluorescent probes for simultaneous detection across multiple targets. An Exogenous Internal Control (EIC) is included to monitor PCR inhibition and overall assay performance.

GCP-Q Comprehensive

How the Assay Works

The assay follows a standardized molecular workflow:

  • Sample Collection & Nucleic Acid Extraction: DNA/RNA is extracted from stool or gastric biopsy samples using validated extraction methods.
  • Real-Time PCR Amplification: Extracted nucleic acid is amplified using pathogen-specific primers and probes.
  • Fluorescent Detection: Amplification signals are detected across multiple fluorescence channels.
  • Result Interpretation: Ct value ≤ 30 is considered positive.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Multiplex detection of 14 gastrointestinal pathogens
  • Simultaneous detection of viral, bacterial, and parasitic targets
  • Probe-based chemistry for specificity
  • Exogenous Internal Control for assay validation
