Overview

The SpiNXT Plant RNA Extraction Kit is based on silica membrane spin column technology for selective purification of RNA from plant samples. Plant tissues are homogenized and lysed using an optimized lysis buffer that disrupts cell walls and cellular membranes while simultaneously inactivating endogenous RNases to preserve RNA integrity. Under optimized binding conditions, released RNA binds selectively to the silica membrane of the spin column, while proteins, polysaccharides, phenolic compounds, and other cellular contaminants are efficiently removed through a series of wash steps. The purified RNA is finally eluted using a low-salt elution buffer, yielding high-quality RNA suitable for sensitive downstream applications. The kit is compatible with fresh, frozen, or dried plant tissues, including leaves, stems, seeds, and other plant parts, and supports consistent RNA recovery across diverse plant species.
